 Calling all aspiring designers! Have you ever dreamed of having your designs being sold in Ensembles stores nationwide?

  Following the success of the first WEAR MY DESIGN Competition last year where 5 winning dresses comprised Ensembles' Spring 2013 Collection, the innovative brand is ecstatic to announce the next installation of this much anticipated contest starting on May 1 to June 30, 2013!

 If you have an eye for fashion and a creative mind, then this is definitely for you! All you have to do is submit a dress prototype of your design together with an application form. All submitted entries will be uploaded to Ensembles� Facebook page for voting. Winning entries will be featured in the Spring Dresses 2014 Collection. Five lucky ladies have already gotten their dreams come true with the last year�s contest. The dresses sold very well with customers having their own faves. Who knows, maybe it�s your time to shine! There will be 8 grand winners. Each winner will receive cash and gift certificates from Ensembles, plus Special Gift packs from our wonderful partners VMV Hypoallergenics and Piandre Salon. Each winner shall also be given one produced dress of his/her design (in his/her choice of color and size.)

 The winning pieces will be reproduced by Ensembles for the Wear My Design 2014 Spring Dresses Collection and the name of the grand winners will be featured on the Ensembles Wear My Design hangtag.

With the rise of Philippine fashion comes the emergence of young, hopeful designers who get the chance to showcase their talent and creativity to the whole nation.Ensembles has given this wonderful opportunity to 5 lucky ladies as they won the Wear My Design Contest for Spring 2013. They were chosen out of almost a hundredentries submitted by designer hopefuls nationwide. Among the wide array of prizes they have won, the best part is that they get to live out their dream of being acknowledged as a designer, and their winning designs worn by ladies all over the country.

So who are the 5 grand winners of the Wear My Design contest? Ensembles is proud to present the 5 young designers and their winning creations: IONALA by Regina Natividad, BOSS OF PARADISE by MymyLudovico, FUTURISTIC SPRING by Michelle Sarmiento, PEPLUM DRESS by Pamela Victoria and ANDREI by April Joy Dela Cruz.Being no strangers to the world of fashion, 4 out of 5 of these gals have been fashion design students. When asked if she had a hard time coming up with a concept, Pamela, the only one who didn�t take up a design course, said, �Not quite. I just thought of a concept that would fit a stylish woman in a corporate world and something that is understated yet elegant and would add a stylish twist to a normal office outfit.�

Surely, all the hard work and effort these designers have put into their creations were all born from an inspiration. For Regina, it took a sentimental purpose for her to get that creative spark. What was her inspiration? �My daughter who passed away. Her name is Iona, which is why Iolana is the name of my entry�, she said. When it comes to the obstacles they encountered, meeting the deadline was a common problem. �It just so happened that I had other commitments to do at that time, that�s why I ended up submitting the garments on the very last day of submission�, answered April.

What made these ladies win was because they captured the essence of what an Ensembles woman embodies. �One who is confident, knows the trends and can carry it well. She can stand on her own and can stand out at the same time�, as described by Mymy. Also, they got to play out one of the key aspects of Ensembles, which is versatility. �The dress can be worn from day to night. Just put on a blazer for work matched with stunning stilettos then take the blazer off for night outs�, Michelle said, pertaining to her dress. Wearing one of the winning designs is CarminaVillaroel who just recently got married to longtime partner ZorenLegaspi. When asked what she thought of the winning styles? "Wow, these are from non-professional designers? They look flattering and practical, perfect for me and my busy schedule!"

The winning creations are to be released as part of the Spring 2013 Collection of Ensembles and is scheduled to hit the stores nationwide this February 2013.So, do you think you have what it takes to become a designer? Then join the next Wear My Design contest which will be held from May 1- June 30, 2013! Watch out for it! Who knows, it could be your creation that will be featured in our next spring  2014 collection!

This is the outfit that I wore for the New Glorietta Vibe Fashion Show. Styling by the Ensembles Team. I know I look so different. I'm not used to wearing corporate attire. haha! They tell me I look so young to be dressed corporately but the hell with it!haha! I just hope I was able to give justice to the clothes and I hope this look suits me well, don't you think?:))

Anyway, Don't you just love their chic corporate clothes? This is something I can see myself wearing in the office. A simple bodycon dress with the right choice of color can look so corporate, agree?

So I think almost everyone heard about this record breaking event, The New Glorietta Vibe Fashion Show. It was held last November 29, 2012 at the New Glorietta, Palm Drive. I'm honored to be a part of this record breaking event. 

A week before the fashion show, I got a text from Ms. Dian Dela Cruz of Freeway, Ensembles and Solo. She's asking me to model for them for the show. At first I was half- hearted about it because my graduation photoshoot was scheduled that day but I figured it's a record breaking event and it's a once in a lifetime experience so I must give it a go! So I said yes to Ms. Dian, rescheduled my graduation photoshoot and there I was part of the show!haha

Our call time was 8am but I arrived at Glorietta at around 8:30-9am because of the heavy traffic in EDSA(what's new) I was with my friends Renz, Ron, EJ and Jovie, they modeled for Lee. We saw the line,  and it was long so we went to Starbucks first to have some coffee and wait for the line to shorten. When we came back, there's no line anymore. We we're assigned to different stations. Freeway, Ensembles and Solo models are assigned at Stage 5. I registered and waited for my fellow bloggers Rovie and Kat.

I meet up with Rovie. We're both wearing our sunnies in this photo. The heat's unbearable! 

We had rehearsals in the morning before we go to our holding area for briefing.

We changed our clothes, did our make up and had our hair set for the show! I'm assigned for Ensembles. Ensembles holds corporate and chic clothes so our hair was styled in a sleek ponytail. My forehead's flashing. I don't like my huge forehead that's why I have bangs but I had no choice that day, I had to follow the styling team. haha! I hope I was able to carry it!:))
