Good Dress Up My Little Bossings . ELENABLOG

My Little Bossings Brings Whiff of Fresh Air to MMFF 2013

Not every generation produces a child star but this year, we have not just one but two of them who are set to show people that like Christmas, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is all about children even in making the tills sing.

My Little Bossings is a movie whose time has come. Ever since the project was bared, the public has been counting months, waiting with bated breath how the precocious Ryzza Mae Dizon will jive with the decorous James Bimby Aquino Yap, Both charming and intelligent, but one street smart and the other socially elite, its an intriguing pairing indeed.

As shooting progressed and as the two kids warmed up to each other and established rapport on and off screen, it became clear that My Little Bossings is more than mere curious case. Its a casting dynamo bound to shakeup the MMFF and steal thunder from anything that crosses its path. Nakakatuwa talaga yung dalawang bata. They complement each other so well. You can see that when you watch the movie. Nagtuturuan, nagtatawanan, sabay napapagod, sabay nagugutom. Masaya lang kami sa set. Para lang kaming laging naglalaro, said My Little Bossings lead star and co-producer, Vic Sotto.

That is another thing going for the film: the sure success of My Little Bossings doesnt rest just on the shoulders of Ryzza Mae and Bimby, but those of giants. One of the MMFF Box-office Kings co-stars is also royalty, none other than Queen of All Media and MMFF Box-office Queen Kris Aquino. It is said that one of Kris reasons in accepting the film is that she wanted her son Bimbys first experience in making movies to be with someone of Vics stature and humility.

For years, the MMFF doesnt seem to be complete without a starrer from either Vic or Kris or both. This time they join hands; matching stellar power with stellar power, showbiz might with showbiz might, midas touch with midas touch. How can My Little Bossings not turn to gold?

As most things come in threes, the power of the dream project doesnt end there. My Little Bossings is produced by OctoArts Films, M-Zet Films, APT Entertainment and Kris Aquino Productions all of which have brought out their guns to ensure that it is a heartwarming, quality movie through and through. More than the big names attached to the film, My Little Bossings is a family film packed with lessons wrapped in humor, wit and laughter---exactly what we need in times like these.

Vic plays the role Torky Villanueva who works as a bookeeper for the millionaire cash management specialist Baba Atienza (Kris). Because of some conflict in her business, Baba entrusts her son Justin (Bimby) to Torkys care for fear of her life. In the meantime, Torkys niece Ice (Aiza) who lives in the same house with him, is involved in an advocacy for street children where street kid Ching (Ryzza ) becomes her special ward. Ice brings Ching home when the orphanage closed down. The fun begins when all these people start living in one roof while they each tackle his respective personal dilemma.

Last December 13, 2013, "My Little Bossings" had a Blogger's Night where in bloggers were invited for a press con with Mr. Vic Sotto and Rhyzza Mae Chua. Entertainment, Lifestyle, even Fashion bloggers went to the event to show their support and to know more about the movie.

My Little Bossings also stars Aiza Seguerra, Jaclyn Jose, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, Barbie Forteza, Neil Coleta, and Neil Sese from the direction of Marlon Rivera. Story and screenplay by Bibeth Orteza.

My Little Bossings starts showing on Christmas Day as an entry to the 2013 MMFF.

I can't wait to watch My Little Bossings this coming December 25! Make sure to put them on your list this Christmas!:)

Good Dress Up Freeway X Lucio San Pedro. ELENABLOG

FREEWAY x Lucio San Pedro's Music

Known for its collaboration with different renowned Filipino artists, Freeway is honored to launch the National Artist Collectors Series for Fall 2013.  Freeway celebrates Lucio San Pedro's 100th Birth Centennial with the brand's collection of awe-inspiring pieces beaming with Filipino pride. Its no surprise that the 9th National Artist chosen to pay homage for this series is a man full of talent and ingenuity. Lucio San Pedro, National Artist for Music, is a great Filipino composer and teacher. Known for his composition of the widely popular lullaby Sa Ugoy ng Duyan (in collaboration with another National Artist, Levi Celerio) and the symphonic poem Lahing Kayumanggi, Lucio San Pedro has paved the Pinoy world of music with plenty of his beautiful compositions bearing national soul. For the collection, it is composed of a wide array of casual to work tops and dresses using fabrics such as satinized twills, matte charmeuse, poplins and knits.  The unique cuts and styles made out of different fabric combinations are carefully crafted to flatter the woman's figure without sacrificing comfort by using mostly stretch fabrications. As for its visual prowess, the collection combines floral inspirations with hand drawn lines and curves fused with lyrics and titles of San Pedros famous orchestra pieces. Colors range from the basic black and white to subtle tones such as beige and teal. Certainly, these pieces are made to capture the essence and mark of the Filipina's modern beauty.

Match the Freeway x Lucio San Pedro pieces with footwear from JANYLIN (www.facebook.com/Janylinshoes) as seen in the campaign photos.

STORY IDEA BY: ANTONIO Y. REYES & ANTONIO P TUVIERA
SCREENPLAY BY: BIBETH ORTEZA & JERMYN AVEN JACOB
DIRECTED BY: TONY Y. REYES, DGPI

The story begins with the establishment of the three different worlds apart, bound to meet for an adventure like no other the humble family-oriented story of ENTENG KABISOTE (VIC SOTTO), a low-profile technician married to the beautiful Fairy Princess of Encantasia, FAYE (GWEN ZAMORA); the battles of the AGIMAT (RAMON BONG REVILLA, JR.), the brave village Warrior Hero of Amuleto; and the high tech-yuppie Kingdom of Diwatara ruled by Princess ANGELINA KALINISAN-ORTEZA (JUDY ANN SANTOS), also known in the human world as AKO, where she leads an environmental advocacy organization.

From the initial instalment Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote in 2010, the friendship and partnership of Enteng and Agimat continues. From an eligible bachelor Hero, Agimat now strives to apply all his learning from Enteng and Faye as he himself tries to start his own family with wife, also an Amuleto warrior, SAMARA (SAM PINTO). The fun levels up as Aiza brings Angelina and her comic modern Fairy sidekicks Pink Kapre CHE (John Lapus), Winged Horse SOL (Yassi Pressman) and Computer-wiz Dwarf CHICHAY (Ryzza Mae Dizon), into the lives of the Kabisotes and the Amuleto couple.

As the fun triples, so as the adventure and thrill as they are confronted with high-tech and primitive villains from somewhere totally out of their worlds: cannibal tribes of the Tokatoks and filthy alien monsters from other planet. Witness unparalleled battle stunts set in the Philippines never-before-seen destinations as Agimat, equipped with his one-of-a-kind swordsmanship, Enteng and his iconic comic fighting style and Princess Angelina, in her Mystical Bird alter ego wins the battle of good over evil.

Mr. Vic Sotto was there at the Press Con to answer all of our questions regarding the movie. We really enjoyed listening to his stories. Too bad Mr. Bong Revilla and Ms. Judy Ann Santos weren't there to be with all of us that night due to busy schedules.

Some bloggers started asking questions about the film. I'm so happy that I was able to ask Mr. Vic Sotto though I'm a bit shakey at first. haha! The press con was fun. We learned a lot of things about the movie from the making to the story itself.
