Good Dress Up Vania Romoff for Ensembles Young Designer Series Holiday 2013. ELENABLOG

Vania Romoff is one of the leading designers of todays generation which is why its no surprise she is this years chosen one for Ensembles Young Designers Series. Born and raised in a family of designers and fashion-savvy individuals, the 24 year old Cebuana grew up around fashion. Vanias grandmother was the first couturier in Cebu while her mother is a garment manufacturer and her brother a designer as well. I would say its very much a part of me, more than it is a chosen career or interest. Vania studied Business Entrepreneurship at the Center for International Education in Cebu but learned and developed her fashion skills at School of Fashionof the Arts.
As for her design aesthetic, its all about being feminine and classic. Clean lines, flattering silhouettes and a quiet, yet fresh elegance are consistent in my designs making each piece somehow a modern classic, Vania said. Her fashion forward yet timeless creations have garnered continuous praise from the eyes of fashion critics and the rest of the industry, making her one of the most sought after designers, especially with female clientele. Establishing herself as a legitimate designer in Manilais considered by Vania as one of her greatest achievements. The thought that women trust me with creating pieces for them is an achievement in itself.
When asked about where she gets inspiration for designing, Vania pointed out that there is no formula for inspiration. It is taken from everywhere that evokes personal vision or creativeness, Vania shared. Among the list of people she admired, she named Inno Sotto and Jun Escario, both renowned Filipino designers, as her icons.

When asked about her collaboration with Ensembles, Vania pointed out that she considered two things. Fisrt, the pieces should be wearable and relatable and second, her designs should stay true to her design aesthetic while still reflecting the brands persona. For my collaboration with Ensembles, I wanted to just go back to the basic silhouettes. All together the collection is fresh yet timeless and lives beyond the season.

Now on its 5thyear, Ensembles is back with another budding fashion designer for its Young Designer Series 2013. Ensembles is all about the strong and independent woman with a style thats fashion forward yet elegant.  Thats why this years collaboration with Vania Romoff is a perfect match. With her designs being predominantly classic and feminine, Vanias design aesthetic is definitely fit for an Ensembles woman. Her collection is a variety of tops, dresses and jumpsuits featuring easy to wear pieces and key classics that are both functional and chic at the same time. As for the silhouettes, it is a showcase of simplistic lines and basic shapes flattering to a womans curves which is one of the highlights of Vanias design persona. The collection is also a multitude of different trends and styles such as color blocking, prints and soft drapes presented in mostly subtle colors and neutrals, all capturing a womans grace, maturity and charm.

A fresh take on vintage was the highlight of the campaign shoot for Vanias collection, complete with a classic yet fun styling featuring shoes from Janilyn. Described by Vania herself as a fresh yet timeless collection, her pieces will surely capture the attention of women of all sorts. Whether it is worn in the office, a smart casual affair or on a simple lovely day out, Vanias pieces will definitely bring out any womans confidence and highlight their beauty. The Young Designer Series 2013 Collection featuring Vania Romoff is set to release in Ensembles stores nationwide this September!

Good Dress Up Marks & Spencer Eco Bag Competition. ELENABLOG

If you guys remember, Marks & Spencer launched their contest called Good Things Come in ThREES where everyone was invited to submit a caption with an environment-friendly message. The winning line will be printed on the Marks & Spencer eco-bags. Of course the caption must inhibit their cause, which is to care for our mother nature. This eco bag contest does not only promote re-use of bags, it will also plant 1 tree in the Safe River, Life Saver Foundation, Cagayan de Oro for every entry that they get in this contest.
Can you believe that? Just one submission and you can already contribute to the betterment of the environment.
The winner of this contest will also receive M&S Gift Certificates worth Php 33,000 redeemable at all stores nationwide.

So after weeks of deliberation, Marks & Spencer finally chose the winning eco friendly statement!
Congratulations to Ms. Cynthia Reyes for winning an M&S shopping spree plus the chance to have her winning caption printed on Marks and Spencer eco bags, which will be sold nationwide!
And the winning statement is:
"A BAG FOR A TREE, A TREE FOR THE WORLD."

Now it's time for you to contribute to our environment.
The use of plastic bags is now banned in some cities here in the Philippines due to its environmental effects. Instead of using plastic bags that can harm the environment with its harmful elements, why not use something that can last forever and would be stylish enough to contain your groceries or recent buys like an ECO BAG?
Now you can purchase your own eco bag because Marks & Spencer will be selling these bags with the printed winning caption in all of their stores nationwide! You can help the environment and at the same time you can spread this eco- friendly statement wherever you go! :)
You, what's your Eco- friendly statement?:)

Good Dress Up Monochrome. ELENABLOG

Blazer, HANG TEN. Tank Top, Skinny Jeans, Gold chain, FOREVER 21. Watch, WADE. Bag, GRENJ BAGS. Shoes, IMPULSE CO.

Yes I'm wearing jeans! haha I've been sporting jeans lately especially when I commute or I go to my interviews. I'm a petite lady, I stand in 5"2-5"3 so I'm not long-legged but there's something about dark skinny jeans that makes me feel sexy.

I'm a fan of monochromatic outfits. I'm a print lover but I'm not much of a fan of too many colors in one outfit. I wear outfits in monochrome most of the time or like doing your make up, I focus on one part of my look. I think that explains this black and white outfit. I wore my printed flats to add a pop.

I've been getting positive feedbacks about my bag, it's nice right? Thank you to Grenj Bags for sending this over! I really love it! You guys should check out Grenj Bags on Facebook and Instagram @thegrenjbags Thanks Tita Jen!:*

Anyway this is what I wore last week to our Bloggers United Victory Party part 2 by our SM Entertainment family at the Mall of Asia. I'm supposed to have my interview that day that's why I wore this but it didn't push through. Good thing I was wearing jeans, perfect for ice skating! I'm afraid I might fall and hurt myself. :p

Watch out for my post regarding our Victory Party!:)

NICOLE
