Hiiii! :)

I must say, being a working girl really ate up my time and made me on a blogging hiatus for months! Actually not just work but I also chose to stay away from the computer on weekends to spend it with my family and friends. But now, I finally squeezed in some time to document outfits and write this blog post. Honestly, even though I dress up nicely at work (yes, we're required to dress up like a walking mannequin) I can't take pictures of my outfits everyday because I'm busy. hehe I just post outfits on my instagram account: @nicooolesantos.

 Anywaaaay I'm really excited to share this one to you because I finally have decent pictures and stories to tell. A lot of things happened to me these past few months. Awesome things actually. As much as I want to jot down everything here, time won't allow me to stay up too late because I have to wake up early tomorrow and I'm afraid I might bore you. haha! Still, I'm obliging myself to do so because I owe you one interesting post for being M.I.A. for months. ;)

I'm really thankful for all the things that happened and is happening to me right now. Really. First, even though I'm busy at work, I love what I'm doing and I just got regularized YAY! Second, I'm really enjoying spending time with my family and friends these past few days. I feel like a Superwoman whenever I manage to get things done at work and be good in being a sister, daughter and a friend to the people around me. Lastly, besides being a good sister, daughter and friend, I'm really happy being a girlfriend to the most awesome guy ever! (Yiiieee..Hi love if ever you're reading this. haha ew cheeseball ).

On the other note, I did something for the first time recently! I was invited to be a guest in Tiger Pad, a TV Production in the University of Santo Tomas to be interviewed live. It was shown in every establishment in the university. I was really excited because I'll be going back to my alma mater and I'll be doing this interview! Let me share you what I wore and what happened during that day! :)

Who says denim is boring? I say otherwise! Denim is chic. I've decided to wear this denim on denim outfit, something casual yet chic for the interview. It's a school thing so dressing up comfortably is a must and I've planned lots of things to do that day. The secret to denim on denim dressing is wearing denim in different shades and wearing minimal accessories. Denim is heavy itself so wearing lots of accessories can make your look overdone. In this outfit, I chose to pair whites and a bit of gold to my denim duo. :)

 Feels so good to be back! I've missed UST! Quite nostalgic actually. :)

 As soon as I got there, the people of Tiger Pad oriented me with the flow of the show and the questions to be asked so I could make up my thoughts already because it's a live interview.

 Commercial breaks! Look at our studio! Small yet perfect for a campus TV production! Great job Prime Productions!:)

 I was asked about tips and how to's on Thrift shopping. Being thrifty was their main topic that day. Different ways to be thrifty in food and fashion. I find it a good topic for college students.

Even though the weather's so humid, I don't mind. It's the season to wear my shorts, skirts, sleeveless clothes, short dresses and swimsuits! You gotta love Mr. Sun cause he'll be gone in a few months. Actually it started raining already haha! On lazy days, I always opt to wear high-waisted shorts (to make my legs look longer 'cause I'm just 5"2 hihi), a tank top and a cover up! This look is very versatile! Perfect for a hot and cold weather. All of us have our looks for casual or lazy dress up days, so that's mine. Now, I wanna know yours! Tweet or comment below your lazy dress up outfits!:)

Graduation month is over! We can finally say "Hello Summer!". You know what summer means? Beach, roadtrips, vacations, music festivals and many more! For me, summer also means wearing my favorite summer-y prints! Florals, Nautical Stripes, Aztec and Plaid! This plaid drop waist dress is very comfortable, casual and chic! Perfect for your everyday activities such as random days in the mall, going out for a picnic, or just simply sipping cold drinks at the nearest coffee, tea, juice shop! The drop waist style of this dress made it look extraordinary. I opted to wear this pair of sexy heels to give a more sophisticated look. 

It's already summer! I wanna see some of your summer looks!:)

I'm back! Being on blog hiatus for so long made me so guilty for being irresponsible that's why I put extra effort in this blog post! haha!

Anyway, it's March already! I can't believe how time flies so fast that the 3rd month of the year's almost over! You know what March means right? Graduation! May it be a high school or a college graduation, I congratulate everyone who's going to graduate this school year! I remember my college graduation last March, I was sooo happy! Although graduating means not spending time with your buddies all the time, the happiness for each other overrule everything! You can finally say you did a job well done! You finished school and about to enter a serious phase of life, having a job and applying all the things you've learned in school. Working is not so bad at all, especially if you love what you're doing. So to all the graduates out there, make sure to ace a job that you really want, not because it pays the bills$$$ (if you know what I mean hehe) or else you'll be burned out. You're just starting your career, you have few months or years to explore your capabilities and skills so you would know which career you really want to pursue. 

I am now on my second job and I have to say that working for a retail company is great. Since I love fashion, designing, styling and everything about it, might as well live to it, right? :)

Working in the line of fashion, I always require myself to dress up to the nines! You can always play with your clothes and have the perfect work wear. Yes work is tiring so might as well look good so you won't look tired. This applies to everyone, not just to people who works in the line of fashion. Corporate attire is boring if you wear boring colors and pieces. Try mixing it up a little like this outfit! I paired my royal blue blazer with my high-waisted pants for a formal yet chic look. I mixed things up a little by wearing a sexy cropped top, but of course make sure to check your company's dress code before planning your outfit. When it comes to the shoes, choose a sexy pair of shoes when wearing pants. You're wearing something that covers your stems so add a little height to look smart! There are a lot of ways to revamp your work wear, but what's more important is your attitude/personality, it reflects in the over all look.

Brights hues, playful patterns, loose silhouettes, and platform shoes is what 70s fashion is all about. Remember those hot pants, bell-bottomed trousers and hippie fashion? Yep, welcome to 70s fashion!

This floral overalls reminds me of 70s fashion with it's floral print and loose silhouette. I chose to wear this pair of black platforms to compliment the look. This vintage looking sunnies totally summed up the whole 70s feel.

Fashion trends just repeat from time to time. You don't have to follow trends everyday. Whenever I feel like dressing up like this or like that, I do. Styling does the trick. I may be channeling 70s fashion here but I tweaked it a bit to look modern. Make an outfit look more interesting by letting your own style show.

Anyway, how's your week so far? It's Friday already!! The week went by so fast and I love it. I know every student and people in the working class loves Friday!

One of my favorite female artists is Taylor Swift! I mean, how could you not love her? She's pretty, she's a good songwriter, she's a good singer, she dances so well, she can play musical instruments, she has a sense of humor, she can pull off red lips all the time, her hair is just gorgeous and she has a good sense of style. Tay is known for donning red, white, black, stripes, polka dots and glittery outfits. Her style is very feminine. 

I was feeling very Tay that day, I just randomly chose this outfit. I wore this last December 24 for our super last minute grocery shopping. I want something comfy and easy to wear since we're already rushing to finish our grocery list for Noche Buena. I wore this red striped top and this daisy print skirt plus my houndstooth sling bag . Yes to print on print on print! You know the rules on print on print right? Just play with the colors. You can wear print on print just make sure you'll wear prints in the same color palette. :)

Tell me, this look reminds you of Tay right? especially the heart-shaped sunnies like the one that she wore in her 22 music video! You, who is your favorite female artist?:)

Last October 28, 2013 was the Mango Rock It Up event. The invite says we must dress in our Urban Rock Chic ensembles and this is what I came up with. I think Urban Rock Chic is something that you can wear everyday, but not too casual, not too formal and with a touch of rock and roll. This leather jacket that I got from Forever 21 screams "Rock and Roll!". I paired this edgy jacket with my white origami skort from StyleStunnerManila to balance the tough vibe of the upper part of this look. To break the monotony, I wore this neon Melissa X Jean Paul Gaultier heels and my Chloe Edit bag that I got from Zalora. Voila! My own version of Urban Rock Chic! What do you think?:)

Of course, wearing something white and sheer requires the perfect and the most reliable underwear. For this look, I wore my Nude Wacoal Bandeau Brassiere and my SORCI age by Wacoal Seamless Underwear! 

I wore my Nude Bandeau Brassiere inside this sheer sleeveless top. Can you see it? Of course not! That's why I love it! Wearing my nude bra prevents from shameless showing of underwear and sneaky perverts from peeking into my top hahaha! I love the bandeau style of this bra because it stays in place all the time. Of course you have to pick the perfect size as well to achieve that perfect fit!

My favorite is the seamless underwear! I think the seamless underwear is one of the most brilliant inventions in the field of intimates! haha Seriously! It's perfect for your bodycon skirts, dresses and shorts! It prevents weird looking marks on your back and makes you feel more comfortable. I'm wearing my seamless underwear in this outfit! I think it's perfect because I'm wearing a white fitted pair of skort! You know how it is when your wear whites, you can't avoid showing off your undergarments but with this seamless undies, you can be worry free!:)
